Obama Shocks The Republicans By Picking Romney For His Running Mate In 2012

April 24, 2011 11:11 am 13 comments

Obama shock comes in a move touted by the media as “political brilliance” when he chose Mitt Romney for his vice presidential nominee. While this move was shocking to some who had been told that Mitt Romney was a conservative, after the initial shock wore off, the policies in so many areas showed such an amazing similarity that one wondered why obama had not not chosen Romney in the 2008 election.

On the issues:

Government takeover of healthcare:

What was the difference between Hillarycare/obamacare and Romneycare? No one can recall that now. Both obama & Romney promoted socialized medicine. Romney while he was the executive in charge of MA and Obama while he was in charge of United States. Romney had tried to repackage his views as if it was limited to one state, but as Wall Street Journal, Washington Examiner, Hotair, to the Weekly Standard and Cato Institute showed, with his push for Government mandated healthcare, it was a hard sale that no one was buying.

So his move to join the obama ticket was the most logical move.  And Romney’s Government mandated ‘health plan’ provided for tax funded abortions with only a $50 copay. Since Romney has always been a strong supporter of Roevwade, this move lined up with his position every since his Mother ran for elected office as a proabortion candidate in a conservative district.

Abortion

Romney has been the strongest proRoevWade candidate in the Republican party for years. As he said in his own words, this started when his Mom promoted RoevWade in conservative districts even when it was unpopular because he felt that the family member who died from an abortion would have been better served if she was given an abortion clinic to take her child’s life while saving the Mom’s life.

For those who want to believe that he changed his position, note how he purposefully changed his views from one year to the next depending on the audience:

As for Obama, he has been the most radical of proabortion Presidents promoting in Illinois even infanticide, where a child born out of the womb, living and breathing on her own in a separate room, was refused Doctor’s care to help her live as the little girls died slow and painful deaths. However, like Mitt Romney, he has had the help of the Media to promote his views on abortion as “above my paygrade” even as he began Government forced siphoning of tax payer funded dollars to force abortions around the world!

Taxation

Mitt Romney put into place 700 Million dollars in new taxes, much under the guise of “fees”, and left office with over 1 billion dollar deficit in 2007 (Boston Globe 12/30/2006)

As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney raised state government fees and taxes by three quarters of a billion dollars a year. During his four year tenure, Romney nickeled and dimed Massachusetts families and individuals with over a hundred fee increases, on everything from getting married (he upped the price for a marriage license), to buying a new home (he increased charges for Registry of Deeds paperwork), to owning a gun legally (he tripled the fee for a Firearms ID Card). He also proposed and obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in new tax revenues from business, with tax changes he dubbed loophole closings but critics said were really just tax increases. The fee hikes and tax revenue increases described here were all proposed by Romney himself, as elements of various budgets, revenue raiser packages, or other measures or policy proposals originating in Romney’s office. In addition to the three quarters of a billion dollars in higher fees and state taxes Romney imposed as governor, his tenure also saw massive increases in property taxes in Massachusetts—in significant part due to Mitt Romney. In fact, the non-partisan and highly respected FactCheck.org says Romney “shifted some of the tax burden to the local level” and “to some extent Romney avoided a state tax increase only by forcing increases at the local level.”

http://romneyfacts.com/issue_tax.php also uncovered that Massachusetts homeowners paid a steep price for Romney’s shell game. The average single-family property tax bill statewide rose from $3,015 in fiscal 2002 to $3,799 in 2006, a 26 percent increase, or $784 a year.4 During the same period, the residential property tax levy (that is, the total amount collected) increased by $1.8 billion statewide, or a staggering 35 percent from fiscal 2002 to 2006.

In the article “Governor Huckabee a conservative or progressive“, we read that “Mitt Romney saw sharper increases in taxes during his single gubernatorial term (2003 to 2007) in Massachusetts. The state-local burden rose from 9.8% the year of his election to 10.5% his last year as governor. Meanwhile, the total tax burden went up from 31.2% to 33.9% — vaulting Massachusetts from 9th place to 7th place in the nation.”

And of course, we all know now that obama promoted the largest tax increases and government spending in our nation’s history. Obama’s major weakness continues to be his job killing policies that have put so many millions of Americans out of jobs and destroyed so many small businesses. By bringing Romney on board, he is able to  package himself as friendly to businesses. After elected, he can do whatever he wants to promote his communist light solutions and add to his 46 Trillion dollar budget, but he might propose budget “cuts” of even 1 Trillion dollars while taxing more citizens and adding a few more trillion dollars in government spending to cover the new interest rate costs after Standard & Poors downgrade of our nation’s economic rating.

Terrorism and inspiration of islamic ideology:

On fighting terrorism and islam, obama prefers to be called barak hussein obama while he visits muslim dominant nations and promotes America as among largest muslim nations in the world despite the fact that America is not even in the top 10 or top 20 to top 40 nations and most American muslims are just cultural muslims who were born into islam but want nothing to do with muslim sharia law.

As reported by islamic expert Robert Spencer, Mitt Romney also appealed to inside the beltway politically correct talking points by declaring that in his speeches, he purposefully “didn’t refer to Islam at all, or to any other religion for that matter. I spoke about three major threats America faces on a long term basis. Jihadism is one of them, and that is not Islam. If you want my views on Islam, it’s quite straightforward. Islam is one of the world’s great religions and the great majority of people in Islam want peace for themselves and peace with their maker.”

Robert Spencer exposed Mitt Romney’s political correctness in his article and US News & World Report author Dan Gilgoff challenged Romney’s unusual packaging with the following:

“Romney sees no connection whatsoever between Islam and the jihadists? Experts often say that Islamic terrorists are promoting a distorted version of Islam, but they seldom claim that there’s no connection between the religious tradition and the jihadists who claim to act in that tradition’s name.”

Columnist Lawrence Auster writes the following about Mitt Romney’s position on islamic based terrorism in his column http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/013343.html

“I am deeply disappointed in Romney, stunned, actually. His previous statements about the Islam threat had shown more sense of reality than this. Now he’s gone to the irrational extreme of denying that jihad has anything to do with Islam. Even Bush and the neocons never went this far. They would call jihadism a perverted form of Islam. But Romney–to the disbelief of the liberal reporter Gilgoff, who initially was worried that Romney was painting Islam in sinister colors–states categorically that Islam and jihadism are two entirely different entities.”

For those in the TEA party trying to come up with a strategy to fight off this fictitious scenario in the style of Alvin Toffler’s “Future Shock” , which sadly does not seem as far fetched as it did in 1984, responses come in the form of Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann, and Lt. Col. Allen West.

It’s time we unite and together fight those who do not understand we are a nation which believes in our God given unalienable rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness! We will not go down without a fight. We will fight for a smaller federal government and a simpler nation where our country’s politicians will start honoring the oath to protect our constitution and to promote limited federal government in favor of local and state control regarding economic values. We must hold our politicians to the fire of elections and require them to secure our borders while taking our national security seriously enough to fight islamic based terrorism so this generation can be the last generation that islamic terrorism will be passed unto the next.

While the scenario above is in the fiction stage of the style of Alvin Toffler’s “Future Shock”, based on the values and positions of obama and romney, it is sadly too real a possibility for 2012! Some of those who are supposed to be representing the conservative voice on radio and TV are salivating over romney. The conservative Republican and independent voters have to have discernment to see through all the millions of dollars thrown from Romney to advertisers and make better choices in the primary leading to the 2012 Presidential election.

It is time for us to take our country forward with positive message that once again promotes our exceptional American values that are inline with our founding fathers’ vision for our great nation!

  • Huckabee and West? We can’t stop laughing.

If you think 2 Warmongers have a chance to be POTUS in 2012 then you would also most likely by a Bridge in Brooklyn from us. lol

Dr. Ron Paul/Dr. Rand Paul 2012

“Choose Paul for the Long Haul”

Watch this video to see who our Vets and Military really are behind.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7MiOB2xcFo

  • Yes i know Ron has many followers but we a talking about the Republican Party not the libertarian party..

But Ron does have many great ideas but it the few off the wall ones that kill any chance he has.

The best Ron can do is split the ticket to help Obama…

    • Bill… you got it right. If they decide to post the item I posted here – is one large reason he will never see the oval office. Hope you are well.

  • Ron Paul’s position on islam is very dangerous, cause he assumes we can ignore 1388 years of islamic history, to hope that if we put our head in the sand, that the islamic caliphate we just enabled, will just die down on its own :_(! He needs to study the history of islam like Allen West and Mike Huckabee have obviously!

  • AishaFoda.Ron Paul position on Islam is dangerous?? LMAO!!!! What we’re doing now any safer? we created more terrorists. Turn off FAUX news #1 and #2 at what amount of money are you willing to spend of mine to stop the Faux war on terror? and the failed war on drugs? Ron Paul is the only smart man in Washington. How has the two party worked for us? Well we’re broke, engaged in 3 perpetual wars and collapsing the economy….and you are worried about Islam?

  • Good question but wrong solution Don. As Lt. Col. Allen West rightly stated, why have we failed in Iraq & Afghanistan? Let’s stop fighting a war of terror and begin with the right premise for muslim inspired terrorists attacked us on 9/11, not because we were working with them, but because we are in the way of setting up a biological, chemical & nuclear powers islamic caliphate that would not be afraid to use it on anyone who refuses to submit to ISLAMIC law. If the muslim terrorists has no qualms in blowing up little children or using little children to blow up their own parents and other children, do you truly believe that hiding and putting our head in the sand will make them more “peaceful”?

We failed in Iraq & Afghanistan because we began with a lie calling islam “a religion of peace”.

As we were fighting muslim terrorists inspired by islam, we empowered muslims to become more powerful in fighting us. Then we are shocked when they turn and murder our own American soldiers over and over and over again.

If we want to win the battle, we must start by identifying the enemy and not fight against just a tactic of terror or worst yet, hide like Ron Paul has suggested and hope the next Hitler or Mussolini will be contained by “the other guy”. We tried that and got World War II where so many lives were lost and muslims plus Nazis annihilated so many innocents and our own brave men & women fighting for freedom. Ron Paul’s strategy wrongly identifies us as the problem, rather than Hitler and/or Mussolini and the muslim rulers who allied with them.

After the right strategy is in place, then we can:

    1. identify the right military targets of the most dangerous elements of islamic leaders,
    2. Form the right alliances with nonmuslims like the 15-20 million Christians in Egypt.
    3. Educate the children before they are brainwashed as terrorists starting at age 2 as they are today under islamic powers.

Read the following articles on the subject:
    http://patriotstatesman.com/2011/02/lt-col-congressman-allen-west-responds-to-a-muslim-trying-to-play-the-victim-card/

    http://patriotstatesman.com/2011/02/muslim-reporter-1st-egypt-then-the-islamic-republic-of-united-states/

Don’t buy into bin laden’s lie that if only you got out of Saudi Arabia, he would stop fulfilling islamic prophecy and call he wrongly believes is from God. For 1388 years , we have so much proof that when the nations allowed muslim dominant nations to continue in power, they begin conquests of others with terrorism across the board.

  • Tea Party fave in spotlight for ‘gay’ stance
    Chad Groening – OneNewsNow

A conservative military advocate wants to educate voters about potential GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul who was one of a handful of Republican members of Congress who voted last year to repeal the law that banned homosexuals from military service.

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas)Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) officially announced the formation of a 2012 presidential exploratory committee during a recent event in Des Moines, Iowa. An exploratory committee allows Paul to raise and spend money toward a 2012 candidacy. Paul finished fifth in the 2008 caucuses and has visited Iowa seven times since.

The Texas congressman is a favorite among libertarians and enjoys strong backing by many tea party supporters. In addition, The Associated Press reports he spoke at a rally for Christian homeschool advocates at the State Capitol last month.

Elaine DonnellyElaine Donnelly, president of the Center of Military Readiness, says however that Paul supported President Barack Obama and homosexual activists with his vote during last year’s lame-duck session of the 111th Congress to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell” — the law excluding homosexuals from serving openly in the U.S. military.

“People should know that Ron Paul voted for gays in the military in 2010,” Donnelly states. “I think he should be held accountable for that vote. Certainly anyone who supports the military should question his support of the armed forces with that vote on his record.”

Donnelly believes the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” should be an issue in the upcoming presidential campaign.

  • “It can be safely said that the attitude of the Founders on the subject of homosexuality was precisely that
given by William Blackstone in his Commentaries on the Laws–the basis of legal jurisprudence in America
and heartily endorsed by numbers of significant Founders. In addressing sodomy (homosexuality), he found
the subject so reprehensible that he was ashamed even to discuss it. Nonetheless, he noted:
“‘What has been here observed . . . [the fact that the punishment fit the crime] ought to be the more clear
in proportion as the crime is the more detestable, may be applied to another offense of a still
deeper malignity; the infamous crime against nature committed either with man or beast.
A crime which ought to be strictly and impartially proved and then as strictly and impartially punished. . . .
I will not act so disagreeable part to my readers as well as myself as to dwell any longer upon a subject the
very mention of which is a disgrace to human nature [sodomy]. It will be more eligible to imitate in this respect
    the delicacy of our English law which treats it in its very indictments as a crime not fit to be named;
“peccatum illud horribile, inter christianos non nominandum”
(that horrible crime not to be named among Christians).

A taciturnity observed likewise by the edict of Constantius and Constans: “ubi scelus est id, quod non proficit
scire, jubemus insurgere leges, armari jura gladio ultore, ut exquisitis poenis subdantur infames, qui sunt, vel
    qui futuri sunt, rei”
(where that crime is found, which is unfit even to know, we command the law to arise armed with an avenging
sword that the infamous men who are, or shall in future be guilty of it, may undergo the most severe
    punishments).’”
(Sir William Blackstone, Commentaries on the Laws of England (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1769, Vol. IV, pp. 215-216).

“Because of the nature of the crime, the penalties for the act of sodomy were often severe. For example,
Thomas Jefferson indicated that in his home state of Virginia, “dismemberment” of the offensive organ
    was the penalty for sodomy.
In fact, Jefferson himself authored a bill penalizing sodomy by castration. The laws of the other states
showed similar or even more severe penalties:

That the detestable and abominable vice of buggery [sodomy] . . . shall be from henceforth adjudged felony . . .
and that every person being thereof convicted by verdict, confession, or outlawry [unlawful flight to
avoid prosecution], shall be hanged by the neck until he or she shall be dead.

    NEW YORK
That if any man shall lie with mankind as he lieth with womankind, both of them have committed abomination; they both shall be put to death.

    CONNECTICUT
Sodomy . . . shall be punished by imprisonment at hard labour in the penitentiary during the natural life or lives of the person or persons convicted of th[is] detestable crime.

    GEORGIA
That if any man shall commit the crime against nature with a man or male child . . . every such offender, being duly convicted thereof in the Supreme Judicial Court, shall be punished by solitary imprisonment for such term not exceeding one year and by confinement afterwards to hard labor for such term not exceeding ten years.

    MAINE
That if any person or persons shall commit sodomy . . . he or they so offending or committing any of the said crimes within this province, their counsellors, aiders, comforters, and abettors, being convicted thereof as above said, shall suffer as felons. [And] shall forfeit to the Commonwealth all and singular the lands and tenements, goods and chattels, whereof he or she was seized or possessed at the time . . . at the discretion of the court passing the sentence, not exceeding ten years, in the public gaol or house of correction of the county or city in which the offence shall have been committed and be kept at such labor.

    PENNSYLVANIA
[T]he detestable and abominable vice of buggery [sodomy] . . . be from henceforth adjudged felony . . . and that the offenders being hereof convicted by verdict, confession, or outlawry [unlawful flight to avoid prosecution], shall suffer such pains of death and losses and penalties of their goods.

    SOUTH CAROLINA
That if any man lieth with mankind as he lieth with a woman, they both shall suffer death.”

Our Founding Fathers had a healthy respect for Divine Revelation and Natural Law. Homosexual acts were viewed as crimes against nature. Since the Natural Law is immutable, or unchangeable, they still are.

Govornment And Churches Are Overwhelmed – What Do We Do With The Orphans On The Border?

We are facing a great disaster on the southern border of our nation, and how we react is going to have serious repercussions. First of all, we have to take care of these people. Churches and government are doing their best to help, but are overwhelmed.

What is the best solution for this problem? For those children who have them, it would seem the best thing to do, would be to reunite them whether they are here legally or not. The problem is, that would send a message that illegal kids are welcomed here if their parents are here,

Well then, maybe we should send them back to whoever was taking care of them. But can we trust the authorities down there? Once many years ago I was trying to help two street children.

Washington, D.C. — On “Juneteenth,” the oldest and most-recognized observance of the demise of slavery in the United States, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are suggesting that black Americans make a personal assessment of how much freedom they actually enjoy these days and how they may be able to expand upon that freedom in the future through limits on government expansion.

Juneteenth, an official holiday or observance in at least 40 states, is on June 19.

“For what began as a celebration of black Americans’ release from chattel slavery, Juneteenth is important to remember today because all Americans forget at their peril that freedom doesn’t come for free,” said Project 21′s Stacy Swimp, a frequent speaker at and sponsor of past Juneteenth celebrations in Michigan.

Blind Squirrel Finds A Supreme Court Nut

While in the vast majority of their constitutionally related writings the Founding Fathers were explicit that the judicial branch of government is effectively the weakest of the three, such is not the case with today’s modern misapplication. Americans currently live under what is, for all intents and purposes, a counter-constitutional judiciocracy led by nine unelected, black-robed autocrats.

Over many decades, the other two branches of government, the legislative and the executive, have, for some inexplicable reason, acquiesced to the notion of judicial supremacy – a dangerously dominant concept that erroneously regards the United States Supreme Court as the final arbiter of all things public policy. If this is so, then these nine men and women are ultimately unaccountable to anyone or anything, and the other two branches of government are but toothless figurehead bodies merely spinning their wheels while spending our dollars.
