New Zogby Poll: Michele Bachmann Leaps To First Place At 39 Points While Romney Drops To 14

July 7, 2011 10:00 am 18 comments

In a new Zogby Poll of 1,042 likely Republican primary voters, Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann leaps up by 10 points to stand at 39 points to Romney’s very poor results at 14 points. (The poll has a margin of error of only +/- 3.1 % points). Romney is now even behind Herman Cain at 15 points and next to Ron Paul at 11. If Michele added Herman Cain by her side, she would be at 54% of the current GOP voters.

In a related new poll released yesterday, only 38% of the likely voters in our nation are willing to continue with the same failed administration of Barak Hussein Obama, while  56% are committed to get someone new into the White House and 6% are not sure where they stand anymore (The poll was of  2,159 likely voters and has a margin of error of +/-2.1%). From my past experience, Zogby most often routes for democratic party liberals, so this poll is devastating for President Obama.

How is Michele Bachmann taking this great news? She has come out with a strong new ad promising she will not burden our grandchildren with additonal debt and she will stop wasteful government spending and Obama’s Job killing anti-business policies!

“As a decedent of generations of Iowans, I was born and raised in Waterloo. As a mom of five, a foster parent and a former tax lawyer and now a small business job creator, I know we can’t keep spending money that we don’t have. That’s why I fought against the wasteful bailout, against the stimulus. I know I will NOT vote to increase the debt ceiling.” (source: Real Clear Politics )

In contrast, in a report just released by the White House, President Obama is pushing to tax the Middle Class citizens and putting more of our citizens out of work while paying for outrageous tax funded raises for his friends and staff members.  Examples of this include the special assistant to the president for economic policy Matthew Vogel, who got an 82% raise to move his annual salary to $130,500 plus all the tax funded perks, and the Director of African American media Kevin Lewis’ got an 86% pay hike. As for his promise to not have anyone in government getting paid more than $100,000.00 per person plus benefits, he has found a way around that. He moves his friends under “new” job titles.

WHO WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

  • I could not be happier. I will push her all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Let the naysayers whine and lament about who can and cannot beat Obama. Time will prove us out! Go Michele!

  • Michele and Cain?! With the economy in the toilet, voters want the EXACT same cookie-cutter Keynesian economics that created this problem? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. What is WRONG with you people. Pro-Fed, pro-Patriot Act, pro-IRS, pro-subsides, anti-individual…in other words… THE EXACT SAME as Bush and Obama.

      BINGO!

I don’t disagree with your desires to be rid of Obama, or even Bush, but I think you are off base in lumping either Bachmann or Cain in that miasma of perhaps confusion or maybe turpitude.

They are the A-team currently on the horizon as far as I can determine. Only a Paulbot would fail to draw a clear distinction between what we got now and what
they can promise — and hopefully deliver through a recovered Congress and no
more Bernanke Geithner team of plumbers.

      • No, I wouldn’t put Bachmann right next to Bush/Obama, but her foreign/social policy leaves a lot to be desired. As for Cain, he’s an ex-Fed head who opposes auditing it. Call him an obvious establishment shill, who suddenly becomes a tea party champion. He worked for the Fed, our central planning authority. Putting him next to Bachmann isn’t a positive at all.

  • Eileen Marter

Happy to hear you are not voting to increase the debt ceiling.

  • I’d rather have Bachmann than anyone else even possibly on the radar. She is my pick period.

  • I want Obama out. Bachmann could be the right choice.

  • Some have asked for the poll sources since they could not find them on Zogby. Zogby put a headline of “67% of the nation are unhappy with the direction of our country” and buried the awful obama data showing only 38% of the voters want obama to stay, while 56% are calling for him to go already. Links to both polls are integrated into the news. here is one of them: http://www.zogby.com/news/2011/07/06/ibope-zogby-interactive-poll-67-say-nation-headed-wrong-direction/

On the strong Michele Bachmann showing, zobgy’s report tried to minimize the findings by adding headlines admitting Michele’s huge win, but trying to say IF Chris Chrisite AND SARAH PALIN AND RICK PERRY ALL got in, Bachmann would suffer from TEA party split votes. How many times does Chris Christie have to say he is not getting in, before someone believes him finally? Although Rick Perry has not announced coming in, he might take away some votes from Romney as well as Cain and Bachmann, but won’t know until he is vetted through the media. Obviously the momentum is very high for Michele Bachmann now! Congratulations! • Really? “More of the same?” Obviously someone hasn’t done their homework on Herman Cain. I’m not sure how anyone could say Herman is “pro-IRS” when the man says tjat he will begin the implementation of the FairTax and thus abolish the IRS after the first two years of his presidency.

    • Herman Cain is an ex-Fed head who opposes even auditing the Fed, our central planning authority which is printing trillions of dollars, damaging our currency and economy. Where’s Cain’s legislative record to prove he will do what he is promising? Abolish the IRS? Herman Cain? You say, he will implement a Fair Tax, “thus” abolishing the IRS. Seems you’re taking Cain’s statements too far. When has Cain stated he wants to abolish the IRS? Let’s not infer anything? Cain doesn’t have a good record of statements on his pet the Fed. What makes you think he would abolish the IRS. More likely, he would attempt to “reform” it. His type get into that type of thinking. Wouldn’t want to do it away with the IRS or the Fed.

  • Dale Anderson

Would LOVE to have Michele Bachmann as president with either Allen West or Herman Cain as VP. Oh yeah!

    • george gallo

Michele and Allen. Michele and Herman. Herman and Michele. Allen and Michele.
I can get enthusiastic about any of those pairings. So sad that this country has to
buy the pied piper of change every generation, and visit so much misery and loss to our beloved country, for us to finally warm up to real patriots, statesmen and dooers.

  • Thanks all. Update: New poll from the huge Ames Iowa Another poll now confirms huge win for Michele Bachmann putting her way ahead of all others. Pawlenty who is behind her by 16 points, and has always supported Michele, is getting so desperate to give his own campaign a lift from those questioning viability of his staying in the race, that he has begun noncredible attack ads on the person he always supported :-( !

Pawlenty who used to come out strong against romneycare’s government mandated socialized medicine sadly went strangely silent during his face to face debate time against Romney and has not been able to have any kind of solid showing in the polls since then.

  • New Mason-Dixon poll today confirms Michele Bachmann is the confirmed First Place leader in the GOP now, with Herman Cain falling to 1% and Pawlenty’s attack on Michele backfiring to send him down lower to 7%:

Russia Declares ‘Holy War’ On Islamic State

The Orthodox Christian Church, which is reclaiming its traditional role in post-Soviet Russia, has just described its government’s fight against the Islamic State and other jihadi groups in Syria as a “holy war.”

According to Vsevolod Chaplin, head of the Church’s Public Affairs Department,

The fight with terrorism is a holy battle and today our country is perhaps the most active force in the world fighting it. The Russian Federation has made a responsible decision on the use of armed forces to defend the People of Syria from the sorrows caused by the arbitrariness of terrorists. Christians are suffering in the region with the kidnapping of clerics and the destruction of churches. Muslims are suffering no less.

This is not a pretext to justify intervention in Syria.

Oregon Shooting – When Tragedy Happens Let’s Focus On The Cause And Not The Tools Used

While the blood was still dripping from those martyrs who, in front of an evil man armed with a gun, asked them if they were Christians and those strong in the faith said they were. He shot them in the head. While those who were lost or weak said nothing he spared their lives and shot them in their legs.

Barrack Hussein Obama angrily ran to the cameras to use this opportunity to say that guns being in the hands of the law-abiding Americans is the problem, and we need to restrict the 2nd amendment to spare the lives of “we the people.”

This is nuts; guns do not kill people, people kill people! You can test this fact in your own home right now. (Do not worry no one will get hurt).

Gun Free Zones Are Killing Zones

How did you feel when you heard of the shootings in Oregon this week? Was the first thing that came to your mind the thought that if we only had stricter gun control legislation, this kind of tragedy could have been prevented?

If you listened to idiotic liberals, like President Barack “Insane” Obama, you might believe that. It is my contention that liberalism is a mental disorder based on the rejection of God and His principles, and extreme irresponsibility.

What type of Republican Leader do you want in 2015?

As we look at elections coming up quickly in 2015, as well as the very important 2016 election cycle, what type of “Republican” leaders do you want to shape the future of your county and country?

Do you ever wonder why it is that the current crop of Republicans are not declaring, at every media interview, “These ills have been brought to you by the Democrat Party!” when speaking of Obamacare, the hordes of immigrants being allowed to destroy our country, the Iranian nuclear treaty, the “Black Lives Matter” racial division rhetoric, the attack on the defense of marriage, the 94 million Americans not currently in the work force,

Child protection services Sentences Baby To Death ON 9/11/2015

Child protection services should be self-explanatory based on the simplicity of its name. But they are doing exactly opposite of their name in many places. Wynne, Arkansas is one such place.

A baby has been sentenced to death and will be executed on Friday, September 11, 2015 and Arkansas Department of HUMAN SERVICES (DHS) – Division of Children and Family Services- Central Office will facilitate the delivery of the baby’s 10-year-old to the abortion clinic.
