Today as I look around at the city I live in, the state I live in, the nation I live in and the world we all live in, all I see is a world ruled by evil people that are attempting to take us all down with them. We are ruled by an evil class of people that steal from the people for their own personal power and their own personal gain.
For many of the minions that are used as labor or fodder to feed the evil desires of the ruling class, most hide their pain within the world in a culture of evil and escape into the fantasy of the worldly lust that is freely given by television and the culture at large.
As I sit and ponder, I wonder “how did things ever get so bad?” How did this once mighty and Godly nation that was founded upon the biblical principles that God laid out for us in his Word fall so far. “In the last day’s evil will be called good and good evil”. Today as we all look at the world around us we see this is so.
So how on God’s earth did this happen? Here is a thought for you:
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:6-13 “Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”
This is indeed where our problem stems from. If we would have listened to this and obeyed we would not be in this spot today. But we did not listen and here we are. Paul tells us to judge our brothers and sisters but we have left that out of our teaching and just recite “judge not lest ye be judged.” So we have left the sin within the church body to fester for years and now we as a body are fully leavened.
Our leaders on the local, state, and national level are elected from “We the People” and most of them go to church and sit every Sunday and that leaven /sin is allowed in and we let it sit there in direct opposition to what Paul instructed us. When Paul says “who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner” who does this sound like to you? And we allow them in our Churches? Paul said do not even eat with them but we not only eat with them we worship with them and put them up on pedestals and give them power and influence over every aspect of our lives as elected officials. And after many, many. years of this our churches, our families, our culture and our nation have become morally corrupt and are falling apart all around us.
Now we look at those who are Christians and try to do what is right, and many in our culture and many of our elected officials put them down. At the same time we elevate those who are sexually immoral, or covetous, or idolatrous, or revilers, or drunkards, or extortioners…
In Houston we have our first openly gay mayor and if we speak up and say that this life style is immoral we are said to be hateful and bigoted. Pastor Joel Olsten came on CNN and I was so proud when I heard him publicly say homosexuality was wrong. Then the follow up question was “what do we do about it?” and he said “I do not know.” This is a respected pastor and man of GOD and I felt so bad that he does not know how this can be fixed. I am sorry, but all pastors should be the FIRST to know that with man all things are impossible but with GOD ALL THISNGS ARE POSILBE. This is why we are in trouble, those leading the flock are blind of the truth and when the blind lead the blind they both fall into the pit.
We have nationally-known preachers who claim to have a hard time calling sin, sin and why? I suggest that is a simple question to answer. There is cash in the pocket of those who sit in front of them and if they make them feel uncomfortable they and their money may leave. The bible says the love of money (and I say power and fame) is the root of evil and this love is not only in non-believers but believers also.
Many say “we should not judge” and the Bible says “we should judge our brother and sisters in Christ.” So look around your church is there leaven there? If so it is your responsibility to address it.
Now as Christians do we judge the non-believers? It is clear to me we are to love the sinner – not the sin so does that mean we do not tell them they are living in sin? The Bible says to “love your neighbor as yourself.” If you know your neighbor is going to die and will be condemned to death and everlasting damnation in fire and brimstone and you do not tell them the truth and you let them die in sin are you loving them? I say not. If you love someone and you see them standing in the road, looking forward and you see a truck coming at them at a high rate of speed what do you do if you love them? Do you leave them alone and tolerate their ignorance? Or do you yell and tell them they are in danger? I would suggest that in that case we show that we all love even people we do not know because we are wired by our creator with certain impulses and without even thinking we would yell “get out of the way” and some would even react by pulling them out of the way, and this would certainly demonstrate love. When we see someone living in sin and we do nothing, this goes against human nature and this is not love. So if you are to truly love your neighbor as yourself you need to “tell them the truth in love.”
Our nation was founded upon Judeo-Christian principles and we have allowed the leaven to re-write our history and we as a nation and free people are dying. If we truly want to save this nation it will not be with just letting thing go as they are and electing new people to office. The people we elect come from “We the People” and it is “We the People” that have the problem. We need to fix ourselves and this starts with all of us being honest and addressing the leaven within the church body. We need to bring the leaven/sin to light and either it gets fixed or it must be removed. Once this is done the body of Christ can start to grow and we will have a body of good GODLY people that we can elect to lead us. The people we elect represent us and our values and beliefs and when our values and believes are evil we get evil. You want good GODLY elected officials then we need to be good GODLY people.
The church as a hole is failing to even live out the basic fundamental beliefs that we all say we hold so dear.
Recently the State of Mississippi had an amendment on the ballet called the Personhood Amendment and this would define life at conception and giving the unborn constitutional rights that are giving to all of us by GOD, “Life, Liberty, & the Pursuit of Happiness” but once again the church stayed silent and sat home and did not vote and left the unborn in the hands of killers. Are we not to be the light of the world?
James 2:17 says Faith without works is dead. This does not mean we sit home and let evil prevail and say to ourselves it is GOD’s will and when he wills the hearts to change it will be done. This means we have faith that GOD ‘s will will be done and we must work for change. We do not sit at home or in the church and hide. Faith without works is dead so WORK. Let the light of Christ shine though you. Do not hide the light.
Christians need to clean out the body of Christ and we all need to stand up and promote and fight for what is good and just. This means get out of the pew and actively promote what is good.
If Christians vote our values, this nation will change, if not it will go down into the pit of Sheol and burn with the non-believers. If Jesus was standing here now would he tell you to go to church on Sunday and then be silent and live as the world Monday through Saturday? NO, he would stand up for what is good and that is what you must also do.
If you would like to become an active part of changing our nation and bringing it back to being a GODLY nation let me know and I will help you get started. If not feel free to sit and hide in the pew and let others fight for your right to perish.
