Ordinarily, I really like Sarah Palin’s conservative way of thinking; but in the Alaska caucus yesterday, Sarah Palin chose a loser! She admitted on Fox Business Network that she voted for Gingrich –
Newt is whom I chose up here in Alaska to best represent the ideas that many Alaskans want to see, the preferred presidential candidate in this area. That’s who I cast my vote for,” Palin said.
Earlier Tuesday, the former Alaska governor was interviewed by CNN shortly after she voted at a caucus site in Wasilla, but refused to say who she picked in the state’s contest.
However, look at the results for Gingrich in Alaska; he finished dead last –
With 96% of the votes counted and with 24 delegates divided proportionally (3 unpledged delegates), Romney got 33% of the vote and 8 delegates; Santorum got 27% and 7 delegates; Paul finished third and got 6 delegates, and Gingrich finished dead last with 3 delegates.
Gingrich and Ron Paul need to get out of the Republican race and join together to put Santorum across the finish line. Santorum is the only authentic conservative in the race and the one We the People believe can beat Obama in November.
