The “Houston Chronicle” reprint of the “Los Angeles Times” “McCain’s profile in courage” is factually challenged and inaccurate. McCain: acted out of misguided loyalty without checking facts; misstated Representative Bachman’s letter while the Times, as did MN Representative Keith Ellison, erroneously attributed her letter to a single “discredited” source.
To gain perspective – on what Ms. Bachman actually said about Huma Abedin and to understand the multiplicity and authenticity of Bachman’s sources – Senator McCain, the “Chronicle” and “Times” should read Ms. Bachman’s lengthy reply to Rep. Ellison’s mistaken demand for Rep. Bachman to end her McCarthy type witch hunt. Its instructive Democrats must reach back into history almost 60 years to find a “creditable witch hunt”.
The Senator and two newspapers need to employ their investigative sources to obtain Michelle’s letter to Keith. Meanwhile, to end the suspense, Rep. Bachman said: “The Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin has three family members – her late father, her mother and her brother – connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and/or organizations. Her position provides her with routine access to the Secretary (of State) and to policy making.” What, exactly, is untruthful or misleading in that statement?
Unlike Communist Party membership in the 1950’s – that might have been due more to socialist, or other apparently benign, beliefs rather than a commitment to Communism’s world domination – the Muslim Brotherhood is straightforward in its 21st century goal and motto. Goal: “a worldwide caliphate governed by Islamic (Sharia) law”; Motto: “Allah is our objective. The prophet is our leader. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our greatest hope.”
Rep. Bachman’s letter to Rep. Ellison details serious security concerns that McCain and two newspapers seem content to consider illusory. They do so at their own peril because the Muslim Brotherhood and other militant Islamists are deadly serious about world dominion. For the apparently geographically-challenged, the U.S. is included in “the world”.
