Questions For Petraeus Will Have To Wait

11.11.12 — Excerpts from this Washington Times article:

Congressional leaders indicated that they still might call on Mr. Petraeus to testify eventually.

“I would not rule out Gen. Petraeus being called to testify. That still could happen at some point in time,” Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Georgia Republican and vice chairman of the Senate intelligence committee, said on ABC’s “This Week.”

“I don’t see how in the world you can find out what happened in Benghazi before, during and after the attack if Gen. Petraeus doesn’t testify,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican and a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Hours After Obama’s Re-Election, The US Re-Enters UN Gun Regulation Talks

(Reuters) – Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee’s call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.

U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington denies.

The month-long talks at U.N. headquarters broke off after the United States – along with Russia and other major arms producers – said it had problems with the draft treaty and asked for more time.

Obama Wins – America Loses

The election results are in and America has decided the direction it will take for the next four years. Barack Obama won a re-election for a second term by capturing 303 electoral votes to Mitt Romney’s 206.

Our nation is at a tipping point. With a fiscal cliff looming in our near future – crushing debt piling up that will be passed on for generations, unemployment remaining at the highest levels since the Great Depression, and the largest tax increases the world has ever seen going into effect over the next couple of years, we have some of the most troubling times of our generation still ahead of us.

The American people had to choose a direction, and they chose the “status quo.” They chose to move forward with a leader who is running the country off a cliff by printing money, and operating without a budget.

Obama – Dividing By Sexual Orientation

Challenge to 2012 Voters – Place National Interests Ahead of Personal Interests

Author’s Note: This article addresses seven segments – into which the President has divided the electorate – so it is presented in seven installments. This is the final installment. (Articles were posted in alpha sequence by subject with one exception.) The first six installments are accessible on this Patriot Statesman website.

It’s well established – one of Obama’s re-election campaign strategies is to divide the electorate into segments loyal to him and thereby conquer the Republican presidential candidate. Obama’s carefully crafted divisions include: age; economic status; gender, national origin; race; religion; sexual orientation.
