Texas Sheriff Jack Brandes Stands Up Against Obama’s Gun Control Agenda

January 21, 2013 9:39 am 27 comments

As the Obama administration and their fellow party members across the country push to restrict your second amendment rights, many people feel helpless as they watch their elected officials push the limits of their oath of office.

We see state legislators requiring special background checks to buy a box of ammunition. We see long lists of useful and popular firearms banned due to their color or cosmetic features. We see legislators trying to add gun owners to a database that can be tracked,  just like sex offenders. Forced buy back confiscation plans proposed. The list goes on and on.

Although we would never blame an entire religion of people due to the acts of a few crazed killers on 9/11, the Obama administration is set on punishing an entire nation of law abiding gun owners for the acts of a few mentally ill murderers. This unprecedented attack on our constitutional rights is enough to overwhelm many Americans, but there are beacons of hope out there – local law enforcement officials that are willing to stand up and defend us.

The final line of defense for any community is their local Sheriffs Office, and this week a bold new sheriff from Austin County Texas put out a statement promising that he will keep his oath of office and protect his citizens from unconstitutional federal laws and agencies sent to enforce them.

Sheriff Jack Brandes‘ press release was titled “The Constitution Of The United States Of America and Your Second Amendment Rights” that said the following:

I, Jack W. Brandes, Sheriff of Austin County, will defend the Constitution of The United States of America until there is not a breath left in my body. As Sheriff, I will not allow any agency to come into Austin County and unlawfully disarm law abiding citizens or impose any unlawful unconstitutional orders upon our citizens. I, as Sheriff, will take every measure necessary to protect you and all law abiding citizens of Austin County. – Sincerely, Jack W. Brandes

Sheriff Brandes, and the dozens of other Sheriffs across our nation that have opposed Obama’s unconstitutional agenda are true leaders, and I hope that their brave actions are followed by many other sheriffs throughout the country.

Their support will give hope to millions of Americans that know that if a government fears it’s citizens enough to strip their second amendment rights, they will just as easily take away their fourth and first amendment rights soon after. The second amendment is one of the cornerstones of our free constitutional republic and should never be destroyed.

Sheriff Jack W. Brandes – Austin County Sheriff

I’m honored that he is my Sheriff! Stand strong Mr Brandes, we need your support.

  • Thank you Sheriff. We need every local law man/woman to be as brave as this Sheriff so that we can make a strong statement to Feds that want to restrict our freedoms.

  • Kudos Mr. Brandes.. Being a single mother and coming from an abusive marriage I thank you from the bottom of my heart. God Bless You..

  • Honored that my county feels this way and supports our Constitutional rights! Thanks Sheriff!

  • All Sheriffs should be this gutsy and American!

When the feds come, you citizens of Austin county grab your weapons and back him and his deputies up. Don’t just hide at home and let him stand alone.

  • I can only hope that ALL Texas law enforcement officers should be as patriotic and follow your example. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights is all that separates us from the rest of this crumbling world. Without opposition, Obama will turn the country our forefathers gave their lives to protect into another socialist third world country. The Second Ammendment protects the very foundation this country was built on.
May GOD bless you, for you are surely a true American!

WHAT DO FIREARMS, KNIVES, SCREWDRIVERS, BASEBALL BATS, BALL POINT PENS, & PANTYHOSE HAVE IN COMMON???? ANSWER: THEY ARE TOOLS/IMPLEMENTS WHICH HAVE USEFUL LEGITIMATE PURPOSES IN POLITE SOCIETY. HOWEVER, THEY ARE ALL CAPABLE OF ENDING HUMAN LIFE IF UTILIZED BY EVIL MINDED PERSONS. THESE IMPLEMENTS ARE NOT INHERENTLY EVIL & DO NOT HAVE A WILL OF THEIR OWN TO COMMIT A CRIME—IT REQUIRES A HUMAN BRAIN FOR THAT PURPOSE !!!!

THANK YOU SHERIFF BRANDES FOR PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF LAW ABIDING AMERICANS TO USE FIREARMS FOR ALL LEGAL & LAWFUL PURPOSES AND FOR RESPECTING THE RIGHTS OF THOSE AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO CHOOSE TO NOT OWN FIREARMS. WE MUST ALL RESPECT THE OTHER PERSONS RIGHT TO SAY “YES” OR “NO” TO THE QUESTION OF FIREARMS OWNERSHIP. THAT IS WHAT MAKES AMERICA & THE STATE OF TEXAS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE—AMEN.

  • He hits the nail on the head. It’s not the “law abiding gun owners” it’s the mentally ill murderers and lifetime criminals. Thanks Sheriff Brandes for standing up for us and our rights.

    • Thank you for standing up in defense of our 2nd Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Your service will not taken lightly nor forgotten.

  • I am blessed to live in Texas and particularly Austin County. We all need to back our Sheriff 100 %, as he is the head of a much larger body…We the People

‘LGBT’: The ‘T’ Is For Tyranny

Tranny tyranny. Strike that. “LGBT” tyranny. Lesbian, gay, bisexual tyranny. That, generally speaking, is what’s on display in Houston right now. But trust me: Unlike Vegas, what happens in Houston will, most definitely, not stay in Houston – not if Democrats continue to have their way.

Houstonians elected themselves, as mayor, an extremist lesbian Democrat (but I repeat myself). She quickly, and quite naturally, took to doing what extremist lesbian Democrats do. Annise Parker is her name, and spreading political Ebola is her game. That and trampling the U.S. Constitution. As you’ve likely heard, Parker’s office has illegally subpoenaed the sermons and privileged communications of a number of Christian pastors who vocally opposed the city’s ironically branded “Equal Rights Ordinance” (aka, the Houston Bathroom Bill).

    Muhammad and Islam’s Sex Slaves

Once again, Islamic State Muslims are pointing to Islam in order to justify what the civilized world counts as atrocities.

According to an October 13 report in the Telegraph,

Islamic State jihadists have given detailed theological reasons justifying why they have taken thousands of women from the Iraqi Yazidi minority and sold them into sex slavery.

A new article in the Islamic State English-language online magazine Dabiq not only admits the practice but justifies it according to the theological rulings of early Islam.

“After capture, the Yazidi women and children were then divided according to the Sharia amongst the fighters of the Islamic State who participated,” the article says.

Govornment And Churches Are Overwhelmed – What Do We Do With The Orphans On The Border?

We are facing a great disaster on the southern border of our nation, and how we react is going to have serious repercussions. First of all, we have to take care of these people. Churches and government are doing their best to help, but are overwhelmed.

What is the best solution for this problem? For those children who have them, it would seem the best thing to do, would be to reunite them whether they are here legally or not. The problem is, that would send a message that illegal kids are welcomed here if their parents are here,

Well then, maybe we should send them back to whoever was taking care of them. But can we trust the authorities down there? Once many years ago I was trying to help two street children.

Gov. Huckabee At Marriage March: ‘We Will Not Bow Our Knees To Nebuchadnezzar!’

Is the American majority’s will to defend natural marriage against the rainbow of perverse counterfeits dead? Has America become a Judiciocracy ruled by a bevy of black-robed autocrats?

Not if you ask the thousands who marched on Washington Thursday in this year’s “March for Marriage” rally. Not if you ask potential 2016 presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum.

They took on the counter-constitutional idea of judicial supremacy. They defended true marriage.

Juneteenth,The Oldest And Most-Recognized Observance Of The Demise Of Slavery In The US

Washington, D.C. — On “Juneteenth,” the oldest and most-recognized observance of the demise of slavery in the United States, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are suggesting that black Americans make a personal assessment of how much freedom they actually enjoy these days and how they may be able to expand upon that freedom in the future through limits on government expansion.

Juneteenth, an official holiday or observance in at least 40 states, is on June 19.

“For what began as a celebration of black Americans’ release from chattel slavery, Juneteenth is important to remember today because all Americans forget at their peril that freedom doesn’t come for free,” said Project 21′s Stacy Swimp, a frequent speaker at and sponsor of past Juneteenth celebrations in Michigan.
