Our publication, the Patriot Statesman, was named in honor of our Founding Fathers who fled the oppressive state religion of England and set sail on a voyage to America. With dreams of freedom that resound to this very day, they worked to build our great nation. Leading desperate citizens in a full-scale revolution against the unjust British government oppression, they thirsted for freedom and risked life and limb to attain it. From their sacrifice was born our Constitution—the supreme law of the United States of America.

The Patriot Statesman is not a religious publication, nor solely a political publication. We are a news outlet for moral and religious readers, advertisers and columnists. We are inspired by the rich history of our nation, our Constitution, and all the glorious rights inherent in the First Amendment. The Patriot Statesman operates with a refreshing Biblical worldview and is not ashamed of the original intent of the Founding Fathers. In fact, we embrace it.

Our Vision As our nation threatens to crumble from within, we remind America of the tried and true practices of a free, moral people. As our passionate editorial columnists, advertisers and commentators (you) weigh in, the Patriot Statesman seeks to reverse the watering down of Biblical principles and resurrect our moral and religious rights. We enjoy hearing from our patriotic audience and invite our readers to suggest topics and share links that elevate the glory of our nation.

A Publication Rich in History Our mission is to bolster the conservative voice and reverse the eroding values of our nation. Much like the extraordinary rebellion of our Founding Fathers, we publish news and opinions that are counter to the mainstream. We are inspired by the Preamble to the Constitution that has served as our nation’s cornerstone for over two centuries—the original platform from which would spring a government of the people, by the people, and for the people:

We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The First Amendment The Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787 and went into effect on March 4, 1789. Seven months later on October 11, 1798, John Adams wrote a letter to the Officers of the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts, declaring point blank:

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Adam’s famous quote is heralded proudly at the Patriot Statesman, and perfectly defines the mission of our publication. Adams was able to speak the truth thanks to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The Patriot Statesman celebrates this freedom and affirms it as a gift from God himself. We are entitled to freedom of religion—not freedom from religion— and under this system of government we have enjoyed more freedom and prosperity than any other population in the history of the world.

Reclaiming our Freedom of Speech and Religion Factions who despise our moral and religious freedoms have injured our nation. These include ungrateful recipients within our own citizenry, anti-Christian sects, and even foreign foes. Slowly but surely, they have chipped away at the foundation of religious freedom, banning children from the right to practice freedom of religious expression in schools and using the phrase “separation of church and state” as a hammer. The liberal “thought police” are out in full force… but the Patriot Statesman defies the censorship of a government run amuck. We push back with clarity and seek to remind the nation of the tremendous sacrifice of our forefathers—and their vision for America. Our mission is to reclaim our Biblically-based freedoms.

The So-Called “Wall” Today, many Americans believe that the “separation between church and state” is part and parcel of the constitution. But there is no such phrase in the Constitution.

Where did the phrase “wall of separation of church and state” derive? In 1802 Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the Baptist Association in Danbury, Connecticut in which he excerpted one phrase from the First Amendment, noting that legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

In 1947, the Supreme Court laid the groundwork for the misuse of the phrase, citing Jefferson’s letter in a religious-based decision and thereby creating the Establishment Clause. Although our Founding Fathers saw religion as indispensible to the nation they were creating, the Supreme Court had played into the Left’s hand. Suddenly Americans were focused on “freedom from religion” rather than “freedom of religion.” This is a bastardization of our Founding Father’s intent. A moral and religious degradation has plagued us ever since. This degradation is the real enemy within America—and the Patriot Statesman speaks out to correct the erroneous interpretation.

    A baby has been sentenced to death and will be executed on Friday, September 11, 2015 and Arkansas Department of HUMAN SERVICES (DHS) – Division of Children and Family Services- Central Office will facilitate the delivery of the baby’s 10-year-old to the abortion clinic.

    On August 29, 2015 20-year-old Justin Smith was arrested and charged with three counts of rape and one count of endangering the welfare of a minor. His “alleged” victim is a 10-year-old.
