Hours After Obama’s Re-Election, The US Re-Enters UN Gun Regulation Talks

(Reuters) – Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee’s call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.

U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington denies.

The month-long talks at U.N. headquarters broke off after the United States – along with Russia and other major arms producers – said it had problems with the draft treaty and asked for more time.

The Fruits Of Socialism And Capitalism

Hugo Chavez recently blamed his country’s economic woes on “unfettered” capitalism. In the same breath he said that if a particular industry could not deliver its goods and services to the consumer at the prices set by the socialistic government of Venezuela that he would nationalize that industry.

The absurdity of these conflicting notions becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy in the hands of a “compassionate” dictator.

Beneath the velvet glove of a “compassionate” dictator, lies the mailed fist of a tyrant. When we leave the corporal works of mercy to the government we will be enslaved rather than free, and we will be made poor rather than prosperous, and our souls will be made sick.

The Hitman Cometh

An old adage reads, “If it quacks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck.” The push by the Obama Administration to progressively strip Americans of basic liberties in the pursuit of political objectives has now taken on more draconian overtones, and no one seems to have noticed. While the media quibbles over Romney versus Gingrich, the Occupy movement, and other diversions, President Obama continues to undermine law and order, dismantling the US Constitution piece by piece. When public officials seek to limit freedom, it can be concluded that these officials want to rule instead of govern. Cloaking seizures of power in clever misnomers does not validate the abuse of public office. What else can we conclude when Obama claims the illegal power to assassinate citizens at his whim?

The Iron Lady’s Real Economic Record

With the death of Ronald Reagan seven years ago, many heard for the first time about the successful economic policies advanced in the eighties, and the resulting expansion in the United States. As media coverage broadened, Americans also became reacquainted with his contemporary Margaret Thatcher (who recently celebrated her 86th birthday), and learned that under her leadership, a similar phenomenon had occurred in Britain. Alas, this period of even-handed factual reporting was short-lived, and the media filter is once again in place. But a new generation is catching on—conservative policies work wherever they are implemented. And conservative economic success (and the resulting rancor from the left) is not just an American phenomenon.

The Labour Party in Britain has for the last decade spread falsehoods about the period during which Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, riding the 1990 recession into four terms of parliamentary leadership.

Can US Tax Dollars Buy The Loyalty Of Evil People

Over the last few days I have sat back and watched the unraveling of the US Pakistan relationship due to NATO solders defending themselves. Pakistan has been and still is a safe place for terrorists to hide yet we do nothing about it but give them American tax-payer dollars and then turn a blind eye in hopes that it will all work out in the end. The American tax payers, since 911,(just after the “Religion of Peace” radicals acted on the orders from the Koran) have given 6.08 BILLION to that nation and for what, for them to allow safe harbor for Osama Bin Laden and other terrorists?

Our American soldiers and those of our allies put themselves in harm’s way to help make the world a little safer for you and me by fighting against the hate and intolerance of the Islamic religious racists and we use property in Pakistan as a base because they are our “friends”. Our “friends” that hid the killers of American soldiers and “we the people”.
