Defenseless: America in the Twenty First Century

Under the guise of addressing the debt crisis, President Obama is leaving America exposed to multi-pronged attack by myriad hostile powers. Necessities like national defense are being sacrificed on the altar of handouts to constituents. Arguably secondary entitlement programs have supplanted the primary necessity of a strong national defense capable of deterring aggression. To state the obvious, the vital security needs of the nation can not be replaced with a one-time shot of welfare utopia. What nation or civilization has ever survived that has turned inward, gratifying pleasure and consumption over the preservation of outer-defenses? Rome serves as only one pertinent example among many. Leaving America defenseless is indefensible. The new super-committee is taking the heat for its proposed defense cuts, but the super-committee is just a cover for an agenda that has spanned the entirety of the Obama Presidency thus far.

Obama Taxes Christmas Trees

Obama’s Agriculture Department will now be taxing your fresh Christmas trees. I’m sure it will only be charged to Christians that make over $250,000 though. Right?

Lisa Fithian: The Most Dangerous Woman in America

In recent weeks, every American has watched with morbid curiosity as swarms of hate-filled, sputtering communist loons and Hippie-wannabees have taken to the streets, shutting down cities and leaving a path of destruction wherever they go. Although many Americans disagree with the stated agenda of these radicals, most think them harmless, dismissing their acts as pathetic attempts to resurrect the failed social movements of the sixties. No longer is OWS a joking matter. The mere incitement to violence has turned to actual violence. The stated plans for coordinated, global disruption with the intent to precipitate the collapse of the United States are gaining momentum.

Back in EUSSR?

There are more than a few similarities between the newly forged federal Europe and the former Soviet Union.

It is quite ironic that only 30 years after the fall of the Berlin wall and the end of Soviet communism, a new tyranny has risen, predicated on the same failed centralist political tactics tried and tested in the old Soviet Union. Just ask Russia how that worked out. And yet with the recent debt crisis spreading across Europe, the problem with centralism as a model has been illustrated yet again, since it is now apparent to all watching that a supranational central bank that sets uniform interest rates and controls the liquidity of an entire continent is unable to contain major dislocations and financial disruptions in member states. The financial contagion that resulted from European loan defaults, most notably in the case of Greece, has prompted calls for yet more centralization.
