Will Mitt Romney Invite Sarah Palin To The GOP Convention?

It’s no secret that Mitt Romney’s campaign has not asked Sarah Palin to speak at the Republican National Convention next month. According to Newsweek’s Peter J. Boyer, the Romney camp hasn’t contacted her about even attending the Grand Old Party’s party in Tampa:

Queries to the Romney camp about any possible Palin role at the convention meet with a stony silence. Palin does not seem surprised. “What can I say?” she responded in an email from Alaska, when asked by Newsweek about the convention, just before heading to Michigan to deliver an Obama-thumping speech. “I’m sure I’m not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism.”

The Delicious Irony Of The Chris Matthews ‘Jeopardy’ Meltdown

The most delicious irony of all is being witness to MSNBC’s moronic Chris Matthews EPIC FAIL on Jeopardy after repeatedly mocking Sarah Palin for how he imagined she would perform as a contestant on the same game show:

In the Hindu world of karma, and the biblical realm of you reap what you sow, MSNBC news anchor Chris Matthews received his due on the May 14th airing of the game show Jeopardy. In a special presentation of ‘Power Players’, where Matthews went head to head against former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, and CNN’s Lizzie O’Leary, the host of Hardball came up quite short in both earnings and prestige by finishing dead last, and accumulating only $2300.

The irony of Matthew’s failure in the popular trivia based gameshow,

What Conservative Media?

Media bias has been fact of political life for such a long time that many conservatives can’t remember a time when the media listing hard to port. At least we could, until quite recently, take solace that we had our own conservative media bastion, although it was nowhere near the size and the scope of the “lamestream media” (a term coined by Bernard Goldberg and made popular by Sarah Palin).

But at some point after the turn of the century, just as a majority of Americans began to visualize the true proportions of the larger media’s malpractice, our own little conservative press safe house had suffered a nasty termite infestation. Out of sight and out of mind behind the virtual walls of our conservative citadel of communications, hungry little pests were devouring the very foundation of that once proud citadel.

The Power of ‘The Undefeated’: A Review by Josh Painter

Here’s a challenging assignment: write a review of Stephen Bannon’s potentially game-changing documentary “The Undefeated” after a number of appraisals have already appeared in both old and new media, from large market newspapers to suburban dailies, from Breitbart’s “Big” websites to “mom and pop” blogs. The film has been evaluated by reviewers of varying political persuasions from conservative to centrist to “progressive” feminist. They have approached “The Undefeated” from nearly every conceivable angle.

Some of the critiques are noteworthy for their excellence, including Dan Riehl’s most eloquent assessment, in which he explains how the movie penetrated through his tough-guy defenses and touched him emotionally; Lisa Mei Norton’s superbly detailed appraisal,

Only One Major Media Outlet Reports Terror Suspect As Muslim

This morning police in Washington D.C. arrested Yonathan Melaku, a Muslim, for suspicious activity near Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon.

The twenty-two-year-old Melaku is a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Ethiopia that also serves in the Marine Corp Reserves. He was found carrying ammonia nitrate fertilizer and other materials making reference to Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

The first reports I saw came from the Drudge Report and neither made reference to Malaku’s religion. Then I remembered the stories about Asan Akbar who killed two members of his platoon and wounded fifteen more and Hasan Nidal who killed thirteen of his fellow servicemen at Fort Hood. In those cases the media failed to report that these men were Muslims that infiltrated our military to carry the attack to America.
